a.) Whole life or permanent life insurance
b.) Term or period life insurance policy
Whole life insurance: It provides the financial benefit to the ensured person's beneficiaries after his death. It also provides life time protection to the person having whole life insurance policy.
Term life insurance: It provides the insurance to a specific period of time. It depends on the person that which type of life insurance policy he chooses. For example, if a person has small children then he can purchase a short period insurance policy until his children are grown mature. Some insurance companies provide the facility to convert the term life insurance to whole life insurance.
